From Inbound Package to Sorted Destination


High-volume inbound and reverse logistics operations require more than simply moving packages from one conveyor to another.

The system needs to identify each package, determine where it belongs, track it through the process, divert it at the correct location, manage exceptions, and keep destination containers available without unnecessarily interrupting production.

Barcode Scan Tunnel

High-volume sortation starts with dependable package identification. Packages are automatically spaced and presented to a multi-camera scan tunnel designed to capture barcodes across multiple package faces and orientations. Scan data is communicated with the facility MES while the package continues downstream, allowing the appropriate destination to be determined before sortation.


MES-Directed Routing

Once identified, each package is tracked through the system according to its assigned destination.

MES-directed routing connects package data with the physical material-handling process, allowing each package to continue through the system until it reaches the appropriate sortation station.


Automated Sortation

Configurable pusher stations automatically divert packages from the main conveyor into their assigned destination Gaylords.

Packages that do not match a particular destination simply continue downstream to the appropriate station, creating a controlled and repeatable sortation process.


Automated Consolidation

Packages are consolidated by destination while integrated pallet conveyance supports container staging and removal. Fill-level monitoring helps coordinate container changes, keeping replacement Gaylords available and sorted material moving through the operation.


Exception Handling

Packages that cannot be successfully identified or assigned are routed to a designated reclaim destination for reprocessing rather than interrupting normal sortation flow.
