Complexity at the end of the line is unavoidable. High production rates, multiple machine interfaces, and tight tolerances place increasing demands on how equipment communicates and operates together. Success depends not on individual machines, but on how effectively the system functions as a whole.
This project highlights an integrated roll handling, wrapping, and palletizing system designed as part of a larger industrial automation solution. Rather than treating end-of-line equipment as isolated assets, the system was engineered to coordinate material flow, verification, wrapping, and palletizing through a unified control strategy.
The process begins with controlled accumulation and product verification to stabilize flow and confirm roll dimensions before wrapping. Wrapped rolls are then transferred downstream to a dual-robot palletizing cell, where custom end-of-arm tooling and coordinated motion control enable consistent, repeatable pallet patterns at production rates. Once palletized, protective endboard is applied and the full load is sealed to prepare pallets for downstream handling and shipment.
Autotec’s role in this project focused on system integration, custom material handling, and controls coordination. By integrating third-party equipment with engineered automation and robotics, the entire end-of-line process operates as a connected, high-performance system.
When systems are designed to work together, manufacturers gain more than throughput — they gain stability, flexibility, and long-term scalability.
Designed to integrate. Built to perform.
